Purpose of the Strategy
Monitors intraday drawdowns, total position size, and the number of trades, and issues alerts or restricts new trades when user-defined risk thresholds are reached. It is not designed to predict market movements.
How It Works
- Reads account equity, balance, and position exposure
- Compares real-time status against user-set intraday drawdown and position limits
- Executes pre-selected alerts or restrictions when thresholds are reached
Operating Environment
- MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5
- Loads on any chart that is continuously running
- Stable internet connection and VPS
- Permission to read account and order status
Installation Steps
- Download the version compatible with your trading platform
- Load it onto a chart that is always open and enable auto-trading permissions
- Set intraday benchmarks, drawdown limits, total lot size, and maximum number of trades
- Test each threshold on a demo account to ensure alerts and limit actions behave as expected
- After activation, check the log and benchmark reset time daily
Key Risks
- The software must run continuously to monitor the account
- Gaps or rapid market movements may result in losses before restrictions are applied
- Incorrect parameters may prematurely block trades or allow excessive risk
- It is not a substitute for a broker’s margin rules or manual risk assessment
FAQ
Will it automatically close all positions? 1
This depends on the trigger action selected by the user. Before enabling any position-closing action, you must verify its behavior in a simulated environment.
Can it monitor other EAs at the same time?
Orders and open positions for the same account can be read, but order identifiers and conflict handling across different EAs must be tested first.
Will this still work after the internet connection is lost?
Continuous monitoring is not possible when the terminal or VPS is offline, so separate network and operational status alerts are required.
